Very cold here today. Wind chill warning was in effect until 9am. I am starting to miss the 30 degree weather...

yeah, born the year of the monkey (you would be 12, 24, 36, 48, etc)...I'm a horse so my year was 2 ago which I think was supposed to be good for me, cant say as it was a good year or a bad one---

yea, freezing here and had some snow too....and more on the way! Got some shopping done today so wont need to go out for the next 2 days (hubby has monday off for the holiday)....so I see warm mugs of hot cocoa and time watching movies on the couch for valentines day.

Very cold here. And snow... Got between 1-3 inches. Luckily I have the day off! Yay! But now I have to go the dentist today. Dang... Oh well.

We got more snow today... Less than an inch, but enough to dust the ground. It is supposed to be in the upper 40's this weekend though. So that would be awesome!

Chiropractor sounds nice... But more than I want to pay lol

yeah, was...got a nice heating pad too while I was there, which was nice since I pulled a muscle in my leg over the weekend...at least I had nothing to do yesterday so I could relax (that is until my shower head exploded...good thing there is a home depot near where my hubby works so he was able to pick one up on his way home...nice new shiny...)

supposed to be nice and warm this weekend--am really looking forward to it since our humidifier is on the fritz (ever notice how things seem to conspire all at the same time?)

Wow, it exploded? Yikes. That is never good. Though getting new shower heads is always fun, cause they are so clean and shiny. And they seem to let the water flow better since they aren't all gunked up yet.

Very warm the past couple days. Almost hit 60 today. We had the windows open to let the air clear up a bit. Supposed to get colder though, albeit just a bit. Supposed to be in the 30's, which I can handle.

Sorry to hear it is not a good monkey year so far. Hope it improves!

had just turned it on to shower,....and water started bursting out the sides!....I tried to fix it but only succeeded in getting most of the bathroom a good soaking too

yep, nice new shiny, got to use it first too!....have a nice long shower planned for tomorrow (washing my hair, and when I say I am washing my hair it is a very long process, especially when you talk about hair that is long--past my butt now....so this aint some quicky thing).

had the balcony door open for a good part of the day too, was nice to have some clean(ish) outside air in the condo, and a bit of moisture too (getting tired of boiling water to get our humidity up).

weekends like this are nice in the middle of winter, makes it not as bad.

I think at that point you just turn the shower off and call it a day... Until you can get a new shower head at least.

Just another reason I'm glad I have short hair. Takes no time at all to wash! As my wife reminds me...

You should get a vaporizer. We actually have two for the apartment and they do a good job of keeping moisture in the air when we run them. So that definitely helps a lot. Bit to cold today to have the windows open. Oh well. It was nice while it lasted.

the problem we had with them was that they leave a film of white over stuff (like electronics) which with the amount of computers and such we own would not do--and would be detrimental to them to say the least. Currently I just leave the tea kettle running longer than necessary for tea/cocoa and when I boil water I make sure to have a lot extra and let it boil longer.

Ours doesn't seem to cover our items with anything. We just got a $20 Vick's one from Wal-Mart. It does the trick, though make sure you clean it once a week or every other week. Otherwise deposits build up and make it so it doesn't work until you pry it apart to get all of the gunk out. Not that I would know anything about that...

I don't think mine is thick hair, but I don't know. I just wash it and then dry it. And off I go.

We are supposed to get 3-5 inches of snow tomorrow afternoon... Blah... I want to have no more of that! Oh and this weekend, 50's... Wat?

well that gunk is what gets on everything--and our water is horrible, so think I will tough it out this winter.

Went to see a movie tonight---and now I remember why I dont go (besides the crowds--of which there were none)...the noise! I cant believe everyone can sit and listen to that decibel of noise and NOT have hearing damage (I have a headache and more ear buzzing than when they do the heat detector testing)...and then, the seats...after the first 10 minutes my butt was numb, after 2 hours my legs were as well. Probably the most uncomfortable seating I have had outside of school seats (which are supposed to be uncomfortable). So along with the headache and buzz, I have a back ache too.
Yeah, that was an enjoyable evening---NOT!

We have hard water here as well, though I'm not sure what else you have in yours. So it could be more than that.

Movies these days are at an insanely loud volume. I have no idea why they feel the need to deafen their audience. I would be more than happy if they turned it down a few notches. Or a hundred.

yeah, the water is hard, but we have extra bad stuff in our pipes...black gunk--not sure what it is (its not mold), it hardens on the faucets and is impossible to get off (it is just plain gross!).
Did find out that the next star trek movie is coming out this summer (might bring ear plugs for it though).

saw the storm heading up the east coast--sister says she didnt get any snow at her home but got about 2" where she works....sooooo glad I dont live in indiana now!

Hmm. snow is always nice (as long as you and the people around you know how to handle it).
I can currently see about 2-3 inches outside of my window (started falling about 8 hours ago and is still falling steadily). With everyone driving carefully with winter tires, many cars with front wheel drive (Everyone laughs at drivers in rear wheel drive cars who cant control their accelerators in winter and call them happy dogs because their tails cant stop wagging

) it isnt a problem at all.
As long as Im indoors or skiing, I love snow.

sadly, even though we get snow every year...it seems folks forget how to drive in it, so every year the first (and second...) snows bring out the worst in drivers around here.
I learned to drive during the winter so I have no issues, and I dont forget how each year.

I also enjoy just watching the snow from my balcony (and not out shoveling it....)

People forget how to drive when it rains... Just so very sad to see people freak out and go super slow because of a drizzle...

That does not sound healthy cosy. I would definitely not drink from that water source unless it has been filtered. Yuck...

I like watching the snow as long as I don't have to be anywhere. Then I think it is great. Otherwise, it can stay away.

we dont drink our water--we use bottled water (or we boil it first). And I agree, it sounds unhealthy (been thinking about getting it checked, but not really wanting to find out what it is---or them expecting us to pay to fix it!--which would be just like the govt/utilities).

we saw star wars, yes, I know its been out a while, but I hate crowds so we waited..and we did have a pretty dang empty theater (only about 10 people total), so it was a good amount of time.

I just started playing the game for the first time in 3 years. Although the community is not nearly as active as before it's nice to see the game isn't dead-dead. My skills are rusty and I forgot all of my tactics. sigh
